The original Nintendo Switch, launched in 2017, supports 1080p when docked. The Switch 2’s upgrade to 4K resolution will greatly boost the overall visual quality. However, the 30 FPS limit may let down gamers hoping to experience 60 FPS at 4K finally.

The source also mentions that the Nintendo Switch 2 dock uses 60 watts of power and 45 watts of charging, up from the original’s 39 watts.

This suggests improved performance when docked. The dock is also said to have improved cooling features to handle the extra power.
