Story Highlight
  • Valve’s Deadlock still has over 100K players, even in the Alpha playtest.
  • The game’s recent patch notes reveal that it has added a really innovative anti-cheat detection system.
  • As soon as a cheater is detected, the opponents will get to choose between banning them or turning them into a frog, which is hilarious.

Valve is single-handedly carrying the PC gaming, and that is not a stretch. This company has provided fans with great games and the best launcher to ever exist, Steam. That said, recently, it started working on a Hero Shooter game, Deadlock.

As expected, the game was flooded by thousands of players even during the playtest. It is still in the Alpha playtest and has over 118k players online. Players are having a blast in-game, especially due to the feature that lets them turn cheaters into frogs by voting

Why it matters: In multiplayer games, the main issue that still arises revolves around the cheaters. Valve has taken a really good approach to deal with them this time.

Deadlock Recent Patch Notes Adds A Really Funny An Iconic Feature To Punish Hackers

The official patch notes revealed that you can now turn cheaters into frogs, which is a really cool and innovative feature. Valve has added an anti-cheat detection system but with a twist. Whenever a user is detected cheating, opponents will be given the courtesy of banning the cheater or turning them into a frog

the opponents will be given a choice between banning the user immediately and ending the match or turning the cheater into a frog for the rest of the game.

Do note that if you ban the cheater it will immediately end the match; however, if you turn them into a frog then you can troll them until the match ends. Many users are sharing such encounters on social media platforms and it seems like they are having fun.

The Game Has Already Attracted Thousands of Players In Alpha Playtest

Fans are now claiming that Valve should also add this option in the CS2, but instead of the frog, there should be something else. The idea of turning a cheater into a frog instead of banning them is hilarious.

This feature is arguably going to become insanely famous among the fans and is likely to attract even more players to this game. Deadlock isn’t completely out, as Valve has yet to even announce its release date.

Given how popular it has become already, the game’s success is set in stone now. We hope to see more innovative and funny features in this game.
