Coming Much Later Than Initially Expected!

Story Highlight
  • Phantom Blade Zero was first revealed last year.
  • The game received plenty of new gameplay videos and playable demos this year.
  • Despite the current progress, the developers have said that Phantom Blade Zero won’t be launched before 2026.

Phantom Blade Zero was first shown last year, and it appears to be one of the most anticipated games for those who enjoy Souls-likes and action-packed gameplay. A gameplay trailer with great visuals and combat was also shown this year.

While fans had hoped to play this game by next year, recent information suggests this will not be possible. The game will not be released before 2026.

Why it matters: Developers typically share extensive information once their projects are close to release. Therefore, the recent information from S-Game led many to believe that its work was nearing its conclusion.

Famous YouTuber Jor Raptor recently shared more information about Phantom Blade Zero. In addition to playing one of the recent demos, he spoke with the developers, revealing more insight into the release date.

According to his video, the team has confirmed that the release is not planned before Fall 2026. The developer did not say much else, but it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the game.

The bad news is that they plan to launch it in Fall 2026, so it’s still a long way away.

According to Jor Raptor, the developer has something something special on its hand. Therefore, this news isn’t as bad as it may initially sound.

Fans Have Been Thoroughly Impressed By Everything Shown So Far

It should also be noted that Jor Raptor isn’t a leaker, so it may be worth taking this information with a grain of salt. However, considering it comes directly from the developers, we have little reason to doubt it.

Phantom Blade Zero reportedly started development in 2022. If it launches in late 2026, this would give the studio about four years of development, which adds up when considering the typical development cycle of a major gaming production today.

Elsewhere, the game is said to offer around 40 hours of content. The team has also emphasized that Phantom Blade Zero isn’t a Souls-like since it offers an experience that is more forgiving and action-focused.
