Achieved 80 Million Viewers In One Month!

Story Highlight
  • Amazon’s Fallout has reached 80 million viewers.
  • This viewer count was achieved in a single month, making it one of Amazon’s biggest releases.
  • Fallout is now on track to reach 100 million viewers faster than The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Amazon’s Fallout TV series has boasted incredible viewership ever since its release. Over the last few weeks, this adaptation has successfully revived the IP, bringing in millions of new players to all games, including Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.

Two weeks ago, reports pointed to a record viewership of over 65 million. According to Amazon, this series has only grown in the weeks to follow, achieving over 80 million viewers to date.

Why it matters: This TV series, in addition to other recent adaptations, has set an exciting precedent for future collaborations between gaming and the TV/film industry.

Fallout
Fallout Has Been Enjoyed By Both Old And New Fans

As per Amazon, the Fallout TV show achieved this viewership in about one month. The series is now on track to beat Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, another hit Amazon Prime release.

This Lord of the Rings series previously held the record for the most-watched debut in a single day. However, it attracted about 100 million viewers in about 3.5 months. Compared to this, Fallout is growing at 3x the speed.

The adaptation should hit 100 million viewers soon, beating The Lord of the Rings. Considering how much bigger the latter is, this is quite the achievement. Meanwhile, a second season for the TV show has also been confirmed.

Fallout 4
Fallout 4 Is Better Than Ever In 2024

Bethesda has recently launched its second iteration of the next-gen patch for Fallout 4. This game also became April’s best-selling title in the UK, highlighting the significant impact of Amazon’s TV series.

Continuing its commitment to games, Amazon Prime has just announced a Tomb Raider TV show. This IP is set to receive its own anime, as well, so Tomb Raider may be next line for a major resurgence.
