Could Launch Later This Year!

Story Highlights
  • Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has been rated for blood, selective themes, and violence.
  • The ESRB rating hints that the title is nearing launch.
  • A title normally launches a few months after it has been rated by ESRB or another rating board.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is the spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise. Since its announcement, fans have been hyped about the title, but we still don’t have a release window.

Fortunately, the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero ESRB rating hints that it is nearing release. The title has received a teen rating from ESRB for blood, suggestive themes, and violence.

Why it matters? We’ve had a couple of action-packed trailers with beautiful visuals for Sparking Zero, but none have had a release window. So, fans have been longing to learn more about it.

Usually, when a game is rated, the launch is in a few months. However, if we are to take an educated guess, the title isn’t coming out till the second half of 2023.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse for the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 is supposed to be released in May, which will likely push Sparking Zero to a much later date to avoid any clashes. However, there is nothing official, and this is just us guessing.

As for the game itself, Sparking Zero is the perfect recipe for a Dragon Ball simulator. It will have a massive roster of 164 characters at launch, and the story will be picked from the start of Dragon Ball Z.

Sparking Zero takes the best parts of Budokai Tenkaichi and multiplies them with additional mechanics like being able to deflect beams, the battle damage on outfits, and much more. It looks like everything the fans have been asking for for so long, and we can’t wait for it.

The Dragon Ball Sparking Zero rating likely means we’ll see the official release date announcement soon. It might be done at the next PlayStation showcase, which is rumored to be in May.
