Star Wars Outlaws Leak Points To Release In First Half of 2024

Ubisoft's Biggest Release Before July 2024!

Story Highlights
  • Star Wars Outlaw is the first open-world Star Wars game by Ubisoft.
  • The game was revealed last year, with a release in 2024.
  • A new report has suggested that the game will be released in the first half of 2024, before July.

While EA was known for developing the Star Wars video game series, it seems that Massive Entertainment from Ubisoft will be taking over the mantle after it revealed a new AAA Star Wars game last year.

The first look at Star Wars Outlaw was revealed last year at the Xbox Games Showcase, with a release date of 2024. Reputable source InsiderGaming has now claimed that Star Wars Outlaw will be released in the first half of 2024.

Why it matters: Fans have been eagerly awaiting follow-up news on Ubisoft’s next AAA title since the initial reveal in 2023.

Previously, a Disney Blog pointed to a release in late 2024. However, this was later confirmed to be an error. Leaker Tom Henderson has had a solid track record, so this report is expected to be reliable.

The first half of 2024 implies that the game will be released before July this year, just in time for all the major gaming showcases. With Ubisoft recently releasing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it might kick off marketing for Star Wars soon.

The gaming giant is set to release Skull and Bones next month. Following this launch, the Star Wars AAA game will be Ubisoft’s next major release, so fans can look forward to a slew of trailers and footage coming soon.

The same report also claims that another Ubisoft title, Assassin’s Creed Red, will be released in late 2024, further corroborating recent claims.

Star Wars Outlaws

Overall, Star Wars Outlaw is looking to be a big release for Ubisoft, taking an open-world approach that won’t require loads of hours for completion, unlike other Ubisoft games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Created by Massive Entertainment, this entry introduces a new protagonist to Star Wars. Players will take on the role of Kay Vess as she explores the galaxy in a period between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
