Assassin’s Creed Mirage Mod Finally Adds DLSS 3 Support

Mod Also Removes Chromatic Aberration!

Ubisoft’s revisiting of its nostalgic legacy in the form of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is finally here. The game delivers a very safe adventure in the Assassin’s Creed universe, focusing on elements the series lost in its transition to the RPG genre.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is also one of the many cross-generation games this year, making the game appear somewhat dated. However, this brings performance benefits, with the game mostly running well on various PC builds.

To improve the performance further, a modder has added DLSS 3 to the game.

Why it matters: DLSS 3 is among Nvidia’s latest innovations in the gaming industry. The technology relies on AI to generate additional frames, considerably improving performance.

The mod has been created by Pure Dark, a creator gaining popularity for bringing DLSS to new releases without official support. Not too long ago, modders introduced DLSS 3 to Starfield, and the community has done the same for Ubisoft’s latest release.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage immediately shoots up to around 150FPS from 90FPS once the mod is enabled, providing over 50% more performance. Additionally, the mod allows players to remove the dreaded chromatic aberration.

This post-processing setting is traditionally considered an eyesore for many PC gamers, but Ubisoft does not provide an option to disable it in the settings. Nonetheless, the mod ensures this issue is dealt with.

While Pure Dark, the mod’s creator, has done an excellent job as always, this mod is limited to Patreon subscribers. Users should also note that DLSS 3 is limited to Nvidia’s latest RX 40 series.

Assassin's Creed Mirage

We believe this is a very practical and useful mod, and we hope Pure Dark continues to deliver such mods for future PC ports.

However, Ubisoft should also consider official support through a future patch, further improving a competent PC port. For users without Nvidia graphics cards, the publisher has already included Intel XeSS and AMD FSR.

Therefore, any additional options are likely to be well received.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been available for a few days now, but PC users on the Steam platform will have to look elsewhere. On PC, the game is limited to Epic Games and Ubisoft Connect, though this should not affect the extensive mod support for this title.
