Coming Feb 14 2024 For All Platforms!

Tomb Raider is returning to the gaming industry. Following the conclusion of the modern trilogy from Crystal Dynamics, the classic iteration of Lara Croft is returning with recently announced remasters of the Tomb Raider trilogy.

Remasters for the games had already been teased for a while, but the recent announcement of the collection has sparked a lot of excitement among fans of the classic titles.

Why it matters: The remasters will improve the trilogy’s dated aspects and ensure it remains preserved for modern audiences and fans who played these games decades ago.

The remastered Tomb Raider trilogy was announced at the latest Nintendo Direct a few hours ago.

Following the announcement, it has been confirmed that the three games will be available across all modern platforms, including consoles like the PS4, Xbox One, and more.

Since the IP’s debut in 1996, Lara Croft has been an icon in the gaming industry. The first three games in the series take players on a series of thrilling adventures as they face deadly threats ranging from dinosaurs to dragons.

The remastered trilogy will include all three games alongside their expansions, ensuring that players are able to enjoy the best versions of these popular titles in 2024.

Following the announcement, the remastered Tomb Raider trilogy is available to pre-order. It costs $26.99, officially heading to PC and consoles on February 14, 2024.

Post-release, the game will be priced at $29.99, providing a small discount to early adopters. Users interested in a more modern rendition of Tomb Raider can try Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which marked the last major release in the series.

In addition to the remasters, another entry in the series has already begun development.

Amazon Games has taken the role of publishing the game, and the official Tomb Raider website has hinted that an announcement is not too far, potentially being made in the coming months.
