The embargo schedule of the upcoming GeForce graphics card from Nvidia was leaked, pointing to an earlier launch later this month. Nvidia was reportedly pushing the launch of its GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti ahead of its planned launch date.
MEGAsizeGPU has just shared a new embargo document, which includes the complete plan for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060. The new budget card from Nvidia is set to launch this month on June 29.
Furthermore, there will be two separate reviews for the graphics card. This will include MSRP cards to be reviewed on June 28, while non-MSRP cards will be reviewed on June 29.
Some of the contents of the embargo documents regarding the GeForce RTX 4060 are as follows:
- June 21: AIC Press & Influencer Seeding
- June 28: MSRP model reviews
- June 29: non-MSRP model reviews & On-Shelf (launch)
On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB is still set to launch in July. The 16 GB variant of the graphics card was planned to launch alongside the GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti, but it looks like Nvidia is going for a separate launch now.
The upcoming launch is a $299 mid-ranged option from Nvidia, based on AD107-300 GPU. The card will come equipped with 3072 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit interface.
Aside from that, the $299 GPU features slower memory modules running at 17 Gbps, compared to 18 Gbps on the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. There is no information as to why Nvidia is pushing forward the launch of the mid-range GPU ahead of its intended launch date.
However, Nvidia may be in a rush to push out its new budget card before its competition has time to come up with something.
