Furthermore, the report believes that first-party developers from Sony will receive dev kit prototypes for the mid-gen refresh in the next few months. This includes developers like Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, and more.
Sony is also planning to send dev kits to third-party developers by the end of 2023. Currently, developers like Rockstar are busy with big games like GTA 6. A PS5 Pro dev kit could allow such teams to experiment further with the hardware to ensure that these games can adequately use the more powerful console.
