After months of anticipation and gameplay showcases, Arkane Studios is set to return to the gaming industry. Redfall will mark the developer’s first major release since Deathloop in 2021, with the game also serving as a big first-party release for Xbox Series S|X consoles.
The game will be released on May 2 worldwide and will be available on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC players. While the review embargo is set for launch day, new gameplay footage has leaked all over the internet.
Users appear to have access to Redfall already and are uploading gameplay captured on the Xbox Series X version.

It should also be noted that many of the videos have already been taken down by Zenmiax Media. Still, fans can use the footage to get a small hint of Redfall’s gameplay ahead of release.
The game is also running at 30FPS on the Xbox Series X console, with 60FPS being limited to PC at launch. Console users can expect to see a 60FPS mode later down the line.
Redfall has already received plenty of coverage from the media, so the gameplay footage might not be too exciting for fans who have been following the game. However, fans can still watch the gameplay to keep themselves engaged if the wait for the game seems too long.
For those who want to avoid spoilers and enjoy a fresh start, Redfall will be available to the public soon enough.
Redfall is leading the charge for Microsoft’s AAA titles in 2023. Following its release, Bethesda Game Studios is set to release the highly anticipated Starfield in September.
Recent discussions around Redfall have not been too positive due to the lack of 60FPS at launch, Denuvo DRM, and persistent internet connection requirements. However, the developer is looking to address most of these issues in the future.
As stated earlier, reviews for the game will also go live tomorrow, but it remains to be seen if Arkane Studios will impress critics and gaming audiences yet again.
