According to the Chinese Board Channel Forums, reports show that Nvidia has announced cutting the production of GeForce RTX 4070 and announced to its AIB partner to follow the same for a month.
At the launch, the GeForce RTX 4070 showed strong sales in some regions like Germany, but the overall graphics card is not selling well at a recommended price of $599, and now sales are declining.
The high-end custom models of the GeForce RTX 4070 prices are high enough that the logic tells you to buy the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti instead. The difference is negligible in their prices when considering that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is up to 23% faster at 4K resolution, 21% at 2K, and 18% at FHD.

The GeForce RTX 4070 has numerous problems when compared to what other previous generation X70 series graphics cards offered. For starters, it’s the most expensive NVIDIA xx70 Series GPU ever.
The price tag of $599 is a $100 premium over the GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 2070. We’re also talking about a $220 premium over the GTX 1070 and $280 over the GTX 970.
In recent years, the new generation GeForce xx70 Series has been more powerful than the previous generation GeForce 80 Series. The RTX 4070 is, on average, only 2% faster than the GeForce RTX 3080.
A notable difference between the 15% that the GeForce RTX 3070 got over a respectable RTX 2080 SUPER, around 32.6% better performance of GeForce GTX 1070 over the GTX 980, and the GeForce GTX 970 was 13.9% faster than the GTX 780.
In this way, we see how, like the other cards from the previous generation, the newly launched GeForce RTX 4070 does not have a significant difference in performance considering the price-to-value ratio.
