Fortnite Goes First Person?

Fortnite shook the gaming industry several years ago and has remained relevant in the battle-year genre. With a complex building mechanic and fun third-person shooting, Epic Games has ensured players stay engaged with Fortnite.

While Fortnite’s third-person gameplay is essential, various rumors have hinted at a first-person mode for the battle royale. The latest report from a reliable Fortnite leaker claims that an fps mode could be coming next season

Epic Games has already dabbled in first-person mechanics in previous Fortnite seasons, with weapons like the Red-eye assault rifle switching to a first-person view when aiming down sights. This has led to speculations about a dedicated mode shortly.

Over a month ago, Epic Games added files to the game referencing a potential first-person mode. This, combined with the latest leak, could strongly indicate the alleged mode. The leaker also stated that multiple others had received confirmation from the same source.

Over the years, Fortnite has continued to offer fresh gameplay mechanics as it aims to live up to its live-service models. Additions like the Spider-Man Web Shooters and the no-building mode stray far from the title’s core gameplay, but fans have enjoyed such offerings.

Therefore, it is not unreasonable to believe that a first-person mode could be making its way to Fortnite, but it would be best to take any leak with a slight grain of salt.

In addition to a new gameplay style, the first-person mode could help bring an entirely new audience to the already massive game, taking Fortnite to new levels of success in the upcoming season.
