Atomic Heart has suffered a series of leaks over the last few days. Following a Twitch stream featuring gameplay before the release date, more leaks have come out from the highly anticipated first-person shooter.
In a recent Reddit post, a user shared a leaked dev build for Atomic Heart. While this might look suspicious at first, users in the comments have shared their experience with the link, claiming that the build is, in fact, real.
The dev build also contains extra files that will not be part of the full game at launch, leading to a larger file size of nearly 80GB.
Some users have also speculated that this build could help the game perform better as it is unlikely to include the Denuvo DRM. Denuvo has become notorious for causing performance issues on PC releases, and many users have grown a distaste for the DRM implementation.
Another user states that the dev build includes several original death animations and in-universe cartoons. While this might sound tempting, it would be best to wait for the official launch since the game is nearing release day.
Atomic Heart is set in an alternate 20th century, featuring fast-paced fps combat with biomechanical enemies. The game also supports 60 fps on consoles and allegedly runs at 4K with dynamic resolution.
Recently, the game was criticized for Mundfish CEO claiming that DLSS should win back losses, if any, in the game’s performance. Many were concerned that this might be a sign of poor optimization on the developer’s part, but that remains to be seen.
Atomic Heart releases on February 21 across nearly all modern consoles and PC. The game will also be available on day one for Game Pass owners.
