  • New screenshots have been uploaded to the Epic Games Store, and they look stunning.
  • Recent social media activity suggests a new gameplay trailer is coming soon.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is one of the most anticipated Xbox exclusives of 2024. The lineup of Xbox games is already stacked for the year, but Stalker 2 still manages to stand out, thanks to thrilling survival gameplay and next-gen visuals.

Narrative-wise, there are no concerns for now, as the main story will be 40 hours long, but audiences remain skeptical about the game hitting its release window after multiple delays in the past.

However, Epic Games has uploaded updated screenshots of the game, hinting at a new marketing push coming up soon.

Why it matters: Promising a day-one Game Pass release, Stalker 2 stands alongside games like Hellblade 2 and Avowed as one of Microsoft’s biggest exclusives this year.

Epic Games has updated the older screenshots with newer UI elements representative of the final build. As always, the game continues to look stunning, shaping up to launch as a visual feast.

Elsewhere, the social media pages of Stalker 2 have shown a bit of activity. On Facebook, the cover photo has been updated, with GSC Game World promoting pre-orders for the impending launch.

A YouTuber also claims that a new gameplay video could be arriving at any point. Adding these pieces of information together, the studio might be gearing up for a new marketing push soon.

The game has yet to receive a release date, but it is targeting a release window in Q1 2024. This has also led to hopes of marketing for Stalker 2 at the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl

The event will held on 18 January, so fans should mark the date for big reveals, including Indiana Jones’ gameplay trailer.

Stalker 2 is not only a huge release for Xbox, but it also represents the story of determination from GSC Game World.

In the face of tough challenges, the team kept on pushing ahead. Despite a troubled development, the title will ship with 60FPS at launch, promising a complete experience worthy of the anticipation built around the IP.
