Though this entry was expected to arrive next year, the same insider has now stated that Capcom has delayed the game. He states that it will now launch in late 2025 or early 2026.

The leaker has suggested that while the developers were targeting an early 2025 launch for Resident Evil 9, they may not be pursuing the same plans anymore. He believes the game has been pushed back.

Not too long ago, it was reported that Resident Evil 9 faced an internal delay at Capcom.

The game is said to be this IP’s most ambitious title to date, so the studio may be looking to give it a bit more time than usual. Dusk Golem previously suggested that a reveal was inevitable sometime in 2024.

However, with the game unlikely to arrive for at least one more year, the reveal could also be pushed back.
