Much has been going on lately with Microsoft, such as the Activision Bizzard deal. Japan recently approved the merger, and before that, Microsoft terminated the $1 Xbox Game Pass Trial.
The $1 trial deal had been running for years, but it is no longer available because Microsoft is working on something new. Fans were concerned that Microsoft would raise the prices, but that didn’t seem to be the case as Microsoft has launched Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family in New Zealand for $39.
I’m guessing Xbox Gamepass – Friends and Family just quietly launched in the US?

Users who purchase this subscription can share all the benefits among 5 friends and family. Moreover, every account will have its history and achievements while being able to play simultaneously on the PC or console.
That being said, there has not been any official announcement from Microsoft regarding the release date or pricing. But it seems like the subscription is available in New Zealand, as shared by a Twitter user in the above tweet, for 39.95 New Zealand Dollars, which makes it 25 US dollars after conversion. So the price will differ from country to country.
Users can also transfer to friends and family subscriptions if they already have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. One month of Game Pass Ultimate will be converted to 18 days of the friends and family pack.
Moreover, if a player cancels the subscription after transferring, they won’t return their Ultimate Game Pass subscription. It is now only a matter of time before Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family is released, and it might take the subscription to new heights.
With that were you said, what do you think of this new subscription plan? Do you think the benefits are worth the price? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
