If you were waiting for the right time to upgrade to AMD Zen 4, the moment is finally here. Just before the launch of the 3D V-Cache lineup from the Ryzen 7000 series, AMD partners have reduced the price of the upper-mid ranged chip, the Ryzen 7 7700X.
Users can now avail of this offer from US retailers at Amazon and Newegg and can get their hands on a brand new Ryzen 7 7700X for just $299.
Amazon and Newegg have different ways of availing of the new discounted price for the Ryzen 7700X. Amazon has a $40 selectable discount option, while on Newegg, users need to use the “BDNW25” code at checkout. Aside from that, the discounted chip comes bundled with a copy of the upcoming Star Wars Jedi Survivor game.
With a price tag of just $299, the AMD Ryzen 7700X is not just $100 cheaper but selling at the MSRP of AMD Ryzen 7600X, a six-core processor. Interested users should avail of is offers as soon as possible before the promotion ends.
The new 3D V-Cache lineup from the Zen 4 will see the light of day coming February 28th and will include three variants, unlike last year. The list consists of the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. AMD’s best processor, the Ryzen 7950X3D, will come with 16 cores and 32 threads, running at 120-watt TDP.
The launch of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D would also make the regular Ryzen 7700X around $150 cheaper than its successor. With a price drop like that, we are sure AMD will get a lot of attention since the company has been struggling to make sales due to its high entry price for the AM5 platform, but that is no longer the case.
What are your thoughts on AMD’s discounted Ryzen 7 7700X chip? Would it be an excellent option for gaming?
