- Sony has announced multiple State of Play broadcasts for September 3rd.
- The first broadcast will conclude with a Final Fantasy 7 Revelation showcase.
- The second State of Play broadcast will focus on games from Japanese and Asian game studios.
Sony appears to have quite an interesting portfolio of games in development, and we will soon be getting a deeper look into its many upcoming and possibly unannounced titles in just a few days.
The company has now confirmed not one, but multiple back-to-back State of Play broadcasts for September 3rd. These broadcasts will include updates from PlayStation first-party studios and third-party partners.
Why it matters: The upcoming State of Play presentations could shed light on many in-development and brand-new PlayStation projects, including Marvel’s Wolverine and Intergalactic. So, the anticipation is already at an all-time high in the community.
Sony confirms that the first State of Play broadcast will conclude with a deep dive into Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Revelation.
However, we can also expect updates for Marvel’s Wolverine, Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic, and God of War: Laufey, alongside many other revealed and new titles. Some interesting third-party surprises could also be a part of the first broadcast.

Immediately following the traditional State of Play, we will have a second broadcast. The new episode of State of Play Japan will ‘offer deep dives into upcoming games from game studios in Japan and Asia.’ It is set to include new gameplay, announcements, and more.
English subtitles will be available for the second broadcast. We could get a deeper look into Phantom Blade Zero and new projects from Asian studios.
It’s also unclear how long both these State of Play broadcasts will be, but we could learn more in the coming days.
