Big AAA Release For Existing Subscribers!

Story Highlights
  • Resident Evil 2 Remake is now available on Xbox Game Pass.
  • This is also the best-selling Resident Evil game to date.
  • It will soon be available on another big subscription platform, PS Plus.

Resident Evil 2 is one of the most iconic games from Capcom. Four years ago, the studio created a faithful remake of the title for modern platforms, marking another commercial success after it sold over 10 million units worldwide.

This performance earned it the title of the best-selling Resident Evil game, and it has now arrived to an even bigger audience. Resident Evil 2 Remake has joined Xbox Game Pass today.

Why it matters: Xbox Game Pass boasts over 25 million users, giving any title a solid platform to be visited by millions of new players.

Gamers have already received multiple AAA releases on Xbox Game Pass this month. The likes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Hell Let Loose are the most notable recent additions to the service, and two additional games have been added to the catalog today.

Resident Evil 2 Remake and Those Who Remain have been made available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and consoles. These titles will also be available on Xbox Cloud Gaming, thanks to their inclusion in the subscription.

Of these games, the latter is a more underrated title. Resident Evil 2, on the other hand, needs no introduction after it pushed Capcom to create more and more remakes of its oldest titles.

While the original game was already a hit in 1998, its remake is equally impressive. It adds new elements to the series, but Capcom has kept the pillars of the experience intact in this modern rendition.

In addition to the arrival on Xbox Game Pass, Resident Evil 2 Remake will be available on PS Plus Extra/Premium later today.

Both subscription services performed well last year, offering thousands of dollars worth of content to fans. Game Pass has also confirmed that it will offer 40-day one-releases this year.

Therefore, fans can expect to see more AAA hits like Capcom’s critically acclaimed horror remake to show up on the service in the following months.
