Remnant 2 Includes 60FPS Mode On PS5 And Xbox Series X

Might Skip 60FPS On Xbox Series S!

The sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes is finally coming out next week. Gunfire Games hopes to revamp the third-person shooter franchise with Remnant 2 and continues to reveal new details about the game.

Many fans have been curious about a potential 60FPS mode for the game on consoles, and the Gunfire Games President has recently confirmed a performance mode for Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles.

Why it Matters: 60FPS has been normalized for consoles as most big releases offered performance mode consoles over the last few years. Therefore, fans have come to expect a performance mode from all AAA titles.

The Gunfire Games President recently took to Twitter and addressed questions about Remnant 2. Unsurprisingly, many fans asked about a performance mode, and David Adams stated:

“There is a 60fps performance mode on console XSX and PS5. It may dip occasionally, but it’s overall pretty solid.”

While the developer confirmed performance mode would dip from time to time, this should not be too concerning. It is difficult to achieve a locked 60FPS at all times, and some dips in intensive areas are expected.

David Adams also clarified that it runs well overall. However, the developer did not clarify if the Xbox Series S would include a 60FPS mode. This suggests that players using the budget Xbox console will be limited to 30FPS.

Despite its capabilities, the Xbox Series S has proven troublesome for certain developers. However, games like Dying Light 2 have introduced 60FPS to the console through an update, and Gunfire Games could follow a similar approach.

Still, fans are suggested to wait for official confirmation.

Remnant 2 is scheduled to release on July 25. The game will be available for current-generation consoles and PC, allowing players to team up or play through the monster-slaying adventure solo.
