Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC Petition Reaches Nearly 12K Signatures

Fans Desperately Want Red Dead 2 DLC!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is among the latest releases from Rockstar Games, but it has not received as much support as GTA 5.

While the latter continues to thrive thanks to the decade-old GTA Online and its strong microtransactions, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been mostly ignored. This has led to a petition from fans demanding single-player DLC for the studio’s latest release.

Why it matters: Rockstar Games was known for releasing DLC in the past, supporting releases like GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption with additional content after release.

A petition started on Change.org has brought together Red Dead Redemption fans hoping to attract the developer’s attention. As of today, the petition has received 11,798 signatures and continues to climb higher.

The creator of the petition, Ivan Ojeda, also clarified that this DLC could be a paid expansion for the game, allowing the studio to make a profit while providing players another reason to revisit the immersive world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

From Undead Nightmare to The Ballad of Gay Tony, Rockstar Games has earned a reputation for releasing high-quality expansions in the past. Therefore, we share a similar sentiment and would love to see the studio revisiting its latest game.

Rockstar Games’ history with DLC leads us to believe it would not disappoint.

Unfortunately, the studio is more interested in expanding online game modes, capitalizing on the profitable nature of live service games. This is why GTA 5 has received the bulk of Rockstar Games’ attention.

Apart from DLC, fans have also demanded a current-generation update for the game to enable 60FPS gameplay on consoles. While its predecessor now supports 60FPS, the game is still capped at 30FPS on consoles.

The title has sold over 55 million units, making it suitable for more content, leading to the petition.

Similarly, fans had wanted a single-player DLC for GTA 5, but this never came to fruition. Rumors claimed that the studio intended to release content for the game at one point but later canceled it.

Fortunately, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a phenomenal game, even without additional content, providing an engaging narrative featuring memorable characters.
