The likes of Square Enix have reportedly shifted away from working with the company, and new reports outline that PlayStation is doing the same.
Why it matters: Sweet Baby Inc. has recently proven to be quite the controversial company, attracting criticism for influencing games in numerous ways.
As per Gothic Therapy, a new source recently outlined PlayStation’s falling out with Sweet Baby Inc.
It is said that PlayStation deliberately canceled various projects that involved the DEI company and no longer intends to work with it. Moreover, the source highlighted that the company was part of Bluepoint’s recently cancelled God of War title.
This comes as no surprise since Sweet Baby Inc. was involved in the development of God of War Ragnarok, but the latest scoop suggests the DEI group is unlikely to influence future titles of the IP.
As for the other cancelled projects, not much is known for now. Concord was previously blamed for the cancellation of Bend Studios’ latest project, but the insider suggests that Sweet Baby Inc.’s involvement also played a role in the final decision.
What the future holds for the consultation group is still a mystery, but PlayStation’s falling out could lead to more game studios stepping away from partnerships with Sweet Baby Inc.
