Rain Is Also Coming Back!

Last week, NetherRealm Studios confirmed the return of Kombat Kasts for Mortal Kombat 1. The developer has previously conducted Kombat Kasts to reveal new trailers for upcoming characters in Mortal Kombat games.

NetherRealm’s first Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat 1 is here, and the developer has just aired a new trailer for Lin Kuei characters.

Why it matters: Mortal Kombat is one of the major fighting game IPs. The latest game in the series was released in 2019, and audiences worldwide are excited about the upcoming release.

The gameplay shows various combos and moves from Scorpion. Classic moves like the spear and teleport make a return, and fans can also hear the classic ‘Get Over Here’ quote for the recent Mortal Kombat.

Like other characters, Scorpion will not fight alone in Mortal Kombat 1. The Kameo system will allow players to pair Scorpion with other characters. He will also join the Kameo roster, allowing players to pick him twice on the same team.

Apart from Scorpion, NetherRealm has also shown gameplay for Johnny Cage during the recent Kombat Kast. In addition to new combos, fans can get a glimpse at returning moves like the classic shadow kick.

However, the trailer does not stop there. It includes characters like Smoke and Rain making their first appearance in the upcoming game.

Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release on September 19, bringing a fresh take on the franchise. While it continues the narrative from the previous game, the game will also serve as a reset for the popular fighting game universe.

This will allow for exciting opportunities to change things up with classic characters and any new characters introduced to the game.
