We have known about the next title in the Call of Duty franchise for a while now. The game has been confirmed to be the sequel to the critically acclaimed Modern Warfare released back in 2019. Since then, Call of Duty has been in a rough situation. The last two games have been subject to development difficulties due to the pandemic and the reception for the games has mostly been lukewarm. With Infinity Ward set to release the sequel to their 2019 shooter, hopes are high for a return to form for Call of Duty.

Over the last few weeks, there have been several leaks regarding the game. Information such as the rumored DMZ mode as well as speculation regarding a sequel to Warzone has been making the rounds. It seems like we have another leak regarding the game. Reputed COD leaker, RalphsValve has just posted a picture on his Twitter that could be hinting at something big for the game.

As the tweet shows, Ralph is hinting at the date, April 30. While he has not mentioned anything explicitly, it would not be too far fetched to imagine that this could be something huge for the game, perhaps a teaser of sorts. Furthermore, Ralph has also pointed out that the reveal for the game is set for May. In the past, Call of Duty reveal trailers have usually come out sometime around May. Ralph’s prediction is also in line with this trend.

As with any leak, it is worth taking this information with a grain of salt. While Ralph has built up quite the reputation in the COD community, Activision has not made any official announcements as of yet.

With Call of Duty 2022, Activision is looking to once again redefine the first person shooter genre. 2019’s Modern Warfare shook the franchise with a gripping campaign, a unique multiplayer and an all new battle royale experience. After the disappointing release of Call of Duty Vanguard, many are optimistic about Infinity Ward’s upcoming game. Infinity Ward has also made it clear that they have learnt a lot of lessons from the last game and that they intend to make this the best Call Of Duty game possible.
