Marvel has just announced a brand-new game. It was no secret that a game starring both Black Panther and Captain America was in development, but not much was known about the project.

To everyone’s surprise, a brand new trailer for this project has just been debuted. Coming in 2025, the game is titled Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.

Why it matters: Both Captain America and Black Panther are considered among Marvel’s biggest protagonists. Therefore, a game with both superheroes joining forces is sure to be exciting.

The project is currently led by Ammy Hennig, the mind behind the Uncharted series.

This story sees Black Panther and Captain America teaming up during World War 2. As the title suggests, it revolves around the two heroes trying to stop the famous villainous organization.

Based on Unreal Engine 5, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra utilizes cutting-edge technology in this engine to deliver an incredible level of narrative storytelling. The use of Lumen has also been confirmed.

Perhaps most surprising is the 2025 release date. Since the game was suddenly announced, fans can expect more extensive marketing to follow soon, with a new look at gameplay in the near future.

For now, the team has just revealed a story trailer.

Another Black Panther game is also in development at Cliffhanger Games. Meanwhile, EA Motive is working on Iron Man, so there seems to be a lot of Marvel gaming content planned for the future.

However, it is important to note that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra features Azzuri as Black Panther. This is different from the T’Challa most people are familiar with, but this should lead to a more exciting turn as players discover a different take on the superhero.
