Souls-Like Game Featuring Pinocchio!

Lies of P is an upcoming Bloodborne-inspired action RPG game developed on Unreal Engine 4. It will be the first PC/Console game by the South Korean studio Neowiz.

Lies of P has become one of the most anticipated soul-like games, and its popularity was evident when gamers waited for hours outside its gaming booth at Gamescom 2022. Lies of P doesn’t have a definite release date, but it is confirmed that 2023 is the game’s release year.

To fuel the hype, AMD has shared an 8K gameplay of Lies of P powered by AMD’s all-new Radeon RX 7900 XTX. The gameplay looks impressive and justifies the hype surrounding the title. You can enjoy the claimed 8K resolution ‘only’ if your display supports it.

The 2 minutes long gameplay of Lies of P showcases a mix of gameplay mechanics where the protagonist can be seen blazing through the biomechanical enemies using his sword and mechanical arm.

The last part of the trailer also gives us a glimpse of a boss fight where a giant electrifying robotic creature can be seen fighting Pinocchio in a small arena.

The game’s core concept is simple yet intriguing; it will feature the fictional character Pinocchio as it is inspired by Carlo Collodi’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio. The game is set in the gloomy city of Krat in the dark era of Belle Époque, where the protagonist paves his path to find his father, Geppeto.

The game mechanics are also fascinating as the player can utilize Pinocchio’s mechanical arm to benefit in various scenarios, one example of which could be converting it into a grappling hook.

Besides, the arsenal from which the players choose their weapons is also extensive. And if that’s not enough for you, the crafting system will allow you to craft all-new weapons to customize the gameplay according to your play style.

Lies of P will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.
