As the gaming handheld space heats up further, Lenovo is set to announce 3 new devices at the CES 2025. The company recently teased its AMD-based handhelds, however, it seems that a retailer has leaked the specs early.

According to the leak, one of the devices will be called the Lenovo Legion Go S and will feature an AMD Z2 Go Processor based on Zen3 architecture with RDNA2 graphics.

Why it matters: The handheld market has been highly competitive ever since the launch of Steam Deck and is becoming more saturated with many more options each day.

The leak comes from a listing that has since been taken down but was detected by Videocardz. According to this, there will be two versions of the Legion Go S; a glacier white one with Windows, and one with a grey color based on SteamOS.

In addition, it will feature AMD’s Z2 Go chip, which will be less powerful than the Z1 Extreme based on Zen4 architecture but will have additional RAM with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory.

Furthermore, the size will be cut from the original Legion Go‘s 8.8-inch screen to 8.0-inch with a resolution of 1080p at 120 Hz. It will also have a slightly larger battery and MSRP will be about Є150 less than Legion Go at Є600.

Lenovo will also release the next iteration of the original handheld as well called Legion Go 2. It will be a huge step up featuring Z2 Extreme Chip based on Zen5 and RDNA3 graphics. It will boast an 8.8-inch OLED screen with a 2K resolution.

All in all, Lenovo seems to have a promising lineup of handhelds ready to be shown at the CES 2025 which happens in just 2 weeks from now. How these newer chips perform in real life is yet to be seen.
