Hideo Kojima Will Reveal His Entirely New Game In 2023

"There is a game I have always wanted to make."

At The Game Awards 2022, Hideo Kojima revealed his next game, Death Stranding 2, the sequel to Death Stranding. The fans got excited about this reveal, and right after that, he revealed that Death Stranding would get a cinematic adaptation too.

The movie will be co-produced by Kojima and Barbarian’s executive producer Alex Lebovici. Kojima has finally put his “turning the gaming and movie industry upside down plan” in motion. Now, we know he, indeed, wasn’t bluffing about anything.

These two reveals were enough to stir excitement among the fans, but Kojima had other plans. Now he has revealed that besides Death Standing 2, he is also working on an entirely new game. At First, Kojima was only teasing; after months, he revealed more information one after another.

As before, Kojima said, “there is a game I have always wanted to make,” and it will be a completely new game that no one has experienced. He also said that due to technological limitations, he could not make his dream game but now, in the 7th-anniversary celebration video, he said

“Now more than ever, we will expand our scope of creativity in this new environment.”

This could only mean one thing: Kojima is now on the path to making his dream game. We waited a long time for this information as Kojima only teased and claimed what he would do.

The completely new game Kojima is talking about could be Overdose, which was leaked online a while ago. The game seemed to be in early development, but at the end of the leaked video, it clearly said a Hideo Kojima Game overdosed in the future.

The game seems to be an Xbox Cloud Game and seems horror as the protagonist roams the lonely, dark hallways, with the occasional appearance of foes that look supernatural. Still, it is better to wait for the official news regarding the completely new game Kojima is working on, as he will reveal some info in the next year.

Aside from that, what do you think of this new game by Kojima? Are you excited about the new projects Kojima is working on? Let us know in the comments section.
