- According to insider TechnicalHalo, a single-player Halo campaign is in active development.
- A multiplayer title is also past the concept stage, and previous leaks about cancellation were overblown.
- The insider also stated that allegations against Pierre Hintze are one-sided.
Halo Studios has been a major source of headaches for Xbox, with reports suggesting a flurry of internal problems at the studio due to the aggressive leadership of Pierre Hintze. According to an insider, the developer also ran into issues during the production of Halo Campaign Evolved, with the remake being behind schedule a year before launch.
As a result, other projects in the pipeline were put on the back burner so the entire studio could focus on salvaging the game for a 2026 release. However, according to a leaker, the future at Halo Studios is a lot more optimistic than reports would suggest.
Why it matters: With contrasting reports painting very different pictures of the studio, one can only hope that Halo fans will get a new single-player project as soon as possible after Campaign Evolved.

In a now-deleted post on X, insider TechnicalHalo revealed that a Halo single-player campaign is currently in early development, alongside a multiplayer title, which has moved past the concept stage and is in full production.
The leaker stated that reports from RebsGaming regarding the lack of projects in development are overblown and not true. Microsoft is fully committed to the IP, and Halo is very important to Asha Sharma and Xbox.
The insider deleted the original post at the request of a Halo Studios developer under an NDA. But he did disclose that Xbox is very furious with the allegations against Pierre Hintze, as the stories are one-sided and they can’t figure out who inside Xbox is spreading these rumors.

This leak stands in complete contrast to the report from Rebs Gaming, who has leaked some credible info like the upcoming remakes of Halo 2 and 3. Only time will tell which one of these insiders is right, but hopefully fans can get some new games from the franchise soon.
