Rockstar Games finally shared an update today, and everyone’s worst fears have come true. GTA 6 has been officially delayed to 2026.

According to an update posted by Rockstar Games, GTA 6 will now be available on May 26, 2026. This marks more than a full year’s delay, pushing the title to the second quarter of 2026.

Rockstar Games has apologized for its silence for so long and thanked the fans for their patience. The team has also promised to use this time to polish the game and deliver an experience that lives up to fan expectations.

Moreover, the developer is looking forward to sharing even more information in the coming months.
