- It is said that GTA 6 gameplay was leaked recently as a result of a hacking attack on Rockstar India.
- The current leaker allegedly obtained the game’s playable build from Russian hackers.
- Rockstar India is the same team that was targeted by hacker Arion Kurtaj in 2022.
The latest GTA 6 leaks have the entire industry shaken, and it’s now clear that the leaker has access to a fully playable version of the title. Amid the chaos, it is suggested that perhaps the leak originated from one of Rockstar’s own studios.
It is suggested that Rockstar India is responsible for the current GTA 6 leak.
Why it matters: Rockstar India was also targeted by leaker Arion Kurtaj in the past, which led to the infamous GTA 6 leak from 2022.

An ongoing rumor states that the current GTA 6 leak is a result of a hacking attack on a Rockstar India employee.
It is also said that Russian hackers were involved in this attack in some capacity, leading to a development build obtained during said attack. Moreover, it is suggested that CyberLeeks, the leaker responsible for sharing the GTA 6 footage recently, obtained this development build for a whopping $50 million.
Of course, this doesn’t seem too far-fetched considering the previous GTA 6 leak from a few years ago was a result of a phishing attack on a Rockstar Games employee. Rockstar India is also the biggest studio working on GTA 6, so the team may have been seen as a potential target by attackers.

It’s worth noting that there is no official word on how the hackers obtained the recently leaked GTA 6 build. As such, it would be best to take any and all information about the leaks with a grain of salt.
