Since the God of War Ragnarok release, everyone has been talking about it, as the game exceeded the expectation of almost every fan who was waiting for it. The game features an excellent storyline and gorgeous graphics, making it the best God of War game.

Now it has been revealed by GfK Chart-Track that God of War Ragnarok has placed first on the UK sales charts while PlayStation 5 is leading sales with 82% in comparison with 18% on the PlayStation 4.

The game surpassed its predecessor with 51% higher sales than God of War 2018 and surpassed Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Elden Ring launch weeks in sales in the Uk. Given the hype of the game, it is understandable.

It is also to be noted that in just one week, the game is already the third best-selling God of War title in its franchise history. If we see it in terms of revenue, then it is already at number 2. The future of this title is bright, and it might just become the most-sold God of War title ever, which will not be surprising given the hype and the excellent gameplay.

The GfK boss, Dorian Bloch, claimed that 12% of the PlayStation 5 God of War Ragnarok came from the official bundle. He said

“12% of PS5 God of War Ragnarok sales come from the official PS5 bundle. This bundle represented 60% of all PS5 consoles sold during the week, which is officially the biggest week for PS5 sales this year”

Now, Modern Warfare 2’s two-week reign is ended. The Activision Blizzard game loses ground to No. 2 due to a modest 39% week-over-week decline in sales.

As the God of War Ragnarok is also nominated for the Game of The Year Award 2022, it will be no surprise if it wins. Still, Elden Ring is also a competitor, so we can’t be sure which game will win the title.

The competition will be tough this year too. So aside from that, what do you think of this marvelous achievement by God of War Ragnarok? Have you played this game yet? Let us know in the comments section.
