If you were waiting for Nvidia to launch the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti officially next year, the wait is unofficially over. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is already available on the grey market in China, with a price tag of 7599 Chinese Yuan (around $1100).
It was reported earlier that Nvidia will launch the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti at CES 2023 in January. But some retailers have already listed the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti before its official launch, making the reports legit regarding the launch of the high to mid-range offering from Nvidia.
Furthermore, we also got to see the performance of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti through the leaked benchmark, making the graphics card around 5% faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti performance looks good considering the $899 MSRP that Nvidia is planning to launch, at least for the Founders Edition, though the same is not the case in the Asian market. The custom variants of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti are selling for $1034 and $1100 for the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Ventus 3X and MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X, respectively.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is based on Nvidia ‘Ada Lovelace’ architecture and will come equipped with AD104-400 GPU. The card will also feature 60 SMs and 7,680 CUDA Cores, while the 12 GB of GDDR6X memory on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will run on a 192-bit bus interface with 48 MB of L2 cache.
Even though the GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4080 were quite power-hungry cards, the same is not the case with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. On paper, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has a total rated board power of 285W, which is 5W less than the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, the card it will be replacing, and 35W less than the GeForce RTX 3080.
What are your thoughts on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti? Will you be willing to spend $1000 on a custom variant?
