Forspoken Recommends RTX 4080 And 32GB RAM For 4K/60FPS Experience

Extremely Demanding On PC!

Forspoken is set to be released in just over a week. Developed by Luminous Production, the game is a PlayStation 5 ‘console-exclusive’ game featuring fast-paced traversal and magical abilities.

The game is also coming to PC, and the developers have just released information on Forspoken PC system requirements. According to the spec sheet, PC gamers need a GeForce RTX 4080 coupled with 32GB of RAM for a 4K/60FPS experience

While the 4K resolution requirements might seem absurd, PC gamers on older hardware will have an even more challenging time with Forspoken.

The minimum system specs recommend the former most popular Steam GPU: GeForce GTX 1060. This graphics card or the AMD Radeon RX 5500XT, paired with a Ryzen 5 1600 or an i7-3770, will allow users to play the game at 720p 30fps.

Forspoken appears to be highly intensive at all resolutions on the PC platform. The game recommends 24GB RAM for 1440p gameplay, and users with the $500 GeForce RTX 3070 can only play at 30fps on the popular resolution.

Interestingly, Forspoken is just as demanding on the CPU side too. While the minimum requirements are not surprising, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and Intel Core i7-12700 are recommended for 4K 60fps gameplay.

Recent PC releases like Gotham Knights and The Callisto Protocol have proven to be disappointing in terms of PC optimization. Forespoken’s system requirements are incredibly demanding and could be a sign of poor optimization.

As stated earlier, Forspoken will be released as a console exclusive for PlayStation 5. This has likely contributed to the demanding CPU hardware, but it is difficult not to be concerned after many recent poor PC ports.

Forspoken also requires at least 150GB of storage space, and an NVME SSD is recommended for optimal performance.

Forespoken is set in a vast open world, allowing players to take control of Frey. The game has a variety of spells with an engaging combat system. For those looking forward to the game, a playable demo is also available on the PlayStation 5 to give players a taste of Forspoken’s world.
