Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released a couple of weeks ago, and the previous two weeks have been a blast for the Call of Duty franchise and fans. MW2 has officially become the biggest CoD launch and entertainment opening of the year, making over $800 million in 3 days of its release.

And here we are, just 5 days away from the official global launch of Warzone 2.0. Yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward organized an in-person Call of Duty event where a bunch of Call of Duty creators was invited who got a chance to try out and stream the new DMZ mode and Warzone 2.0 ahead of its official launch.

The event itself was not comparable to the scale of Call of Duty next, as the number of people invited was limited. Still, many DMZ, Warzone 2.0 news, and gameplays were revealed. You can watch the official gameplay of Warzone 2.0 and DMZ mode in the stream attached below.

Activision also published a detailed blog post explaining all the modes and features that Warzone 2.0 will offer fans. As for the DMZ mode that fans are looking forward to the most, Activision describes it as follows:

DMZ is an open-world, narrative-focused extraction mode where Operator squads have free rein to complete faction-based missions, take on additional side objectives, engage with enemy Operators or AI combatants, and search for valuable items, all while fighting to survive toward exfiltration.

The gameplay and streams of Warzone 2.0 and the highly anticipated DMZ mode just elevated the fans’ expectations for the game. The preload for Warzone 2.0 will start on November 14th, 2022, at 10 AM PT, and the game will globally launch on November 16th at 10 AM PT.

It is also confirmed that Warzone 1 servers will have a short downtime on November 16th at 8 AM PT, two hours before the release of Warzone 2.0. And Warzone 1 will be renamed ‘Warzone Caldera,’ and it will be playable as a separate game. And other than your COD Points, no other items are transferable to Warzone 2 from the first game.
