Just Behind Assassin's Creed: Shadows And Monster Hunter: Wilds!

Story Highlight
  • Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered was shadow-dropped by Xbox, which surprised the fandom.
  • Despite being shadow-dropped, it has become the 3rd best-selling title of 2025 in the US already.
  • It is just behind Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and Monster Hunter: Wilds.

The Elder Scrolls franchise is loved by a massive fandom. This series’ fandom is loyal and would wait for years for a sequel in their beloved franchise. Recently, Bethesda surprised its fandom by shadow dropping Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered, one of the best RPGS to ever exist in the history of gaming.

Even if it was a shadow launch, the fandom didn’t hesitate to hop on the game, and it reached a peak of over 216 K. That is pretty insane for a game that was shadow dropped. Thanks to the massive player base, Oblivion Remastered has already become the third best-selling game of 2025 in the US after being in the market for just over a week.

Why it matters: It is already the fifth month of 2025, so it is really surprising to see a game becoming the third best in a federal republic, consisting of 50 states, after just being launched for over a week.

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Sales Dominance In The US
One of the most reliable analysts, Mat Piscatella, has revealed that Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered became the 3rd best-selling game of 2025, just one week after being launched.

Mat Piscatella, one of the most reliable analysts, has revealed that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has already achieved a major milestone of becoming the third best-selling title in the US after being in the market for just one week.

After just one week in market (w/e 4.26) Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Remastered is already the 3rd best-selling game of 2025 in the US ($ sales) trailing only Monster Hunter: Wilds and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

It is only behind Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and Monster Hunter: Wilds, with the latter being in first position. It is only a matter of time before Oblivion beats AC: Shadows to get the second, but it won’t be realistic to expect it to take the throne, as for now, that belongs to Monster Hunter: Wilds

This game reached a peak of nearly 1.4 million 2 months ago and has already sold over 10 million copies. Surpassing this milestone is unrealistic this year, even if we are talking about The Elder Scrolls 4.
