Dispatch On Track To Meet Its 3-Year Sales Target In Just 3 Months

Season 2 Is Already Being Planned!

Story Highlight
  • Dispatch is one of the best-rated games of 2025 with critical praise across the board.
  • The title had a sales target for 3 years, which it has met in just 3 months.
  • It has reportedly sold over a million copies, with fans already asking for season 2.

AdHoc Studio’s Dispatch has been a surprise breakout hit this year. It has once again reignited the Telltale-style interactive gaming genre and received a massively positive response from both critics and audiences.

While the numbers are undisclosed for now, it has reportedly sold pretty well, too. In fact, sales have been so overwhelming that AdHoc says Dispatch is on track to meet its 3-year sales target in 3 months.

Why it matters: Indie games are on a roll this year with Silksong and now Dispatch. It is especially prolific considering how the studio almost went bankrupt during the development of the game.

Talking to Gamesindustry.biz, Michael Choung, the game’s executive producer, revealed that they had a lifetime target for Dispatch after a period of 3 years. However, it is on the way to achieving it in just 3 months since its release.

We’re on track to do that (meet the sales target) in three months. I think the degree to which it would be successful is something that I certainly didn’t anticipate.

Dispatch
Dispatch has been received incredibly well by the industry so far.

Choung said that the studio was confident that the players would like it; however, they didn’t anticipate it becoming this popular. And it is surging even further, with fans already demanding a season 2

For now, according to estimates, Dispatch has sold well over 1 million copies, but the official numbers haven’t been announced. The game also shows there’s still an audience for this genre, if the title is good enough.
