Dino Crisis Among Most Requested Revivals In Capcom Survey

Fans Really Want To See Dino Crisis Revival!

Story Highlights
  • Capcom’s fan survey reveals Dino Crisis as one of the most requested games.
  • The survey hints that Capcom might look into reviving the franchise in one form or another.
  • Other games included in the survey were Mega Man, Onishuma, Final Fight, and more.

Dino Crisis launched in 1999 to a decent reception from the audience. However, the title crumbled under the weight of Capcom’s much-popular franchise Resident Evil, and the last entry only came out in 2003.

Despite not being as popular today, a recent survey by Capcom was a small glimmer of hope for those hoping to revisit the series. The results of this survey are in, and fan demand shows that many still want to play a modern rendition of the franchise.

Why it matters: Dino Crisis is one of the few Capcom franchises that have not received as much attention as they deserve. However, fans have clearly shown there is an audience for this IP.

The survey was conducted in February, and only now have we gotten the results. They’ve been revealed in the form of an image with the most requested words on it. Notably, Dino Crisis is amongst the biggest written words in the picture.

Apart from this franchise, others like Mega Man and Onimusha were prominently featured. However, with the overwhelming responses asking for Dino Crisis, this one might be Capcom’s pick.

The publisher is already pursuing remakes for Resident Evil, so a Dino Crisis game in a similar vein would not be too shocking. However, it could also consider relating an entirely new entry to satisfy longtime fans.

A modern rendition would offer new mechanics, better camera angles, and slightly tweaked gameplay to evolve Dino Crisis.

This series could, therefore, become another one of Capcom’s biggest IPs. The publisher is currently enjoying successes like Resident Evil and the recently released Dragon’s Dogma 2.

As such, we would not be shocked if it added another one to the list in the form of Dino Crisis.
