Still Maintaining Over 100K Concurrent Players Each Day!

Story Highlight
  • Baldur’s Gate 3 has reached 500K reviews on Steam.
  • Over 480K of these reviews are positive.
  • Director Swen Vincke states that these reviews have been a joy to read.

Baldur’s Gate 3  may have faded away from mainstream attention after its rise to popularity in 2023, but the game is still huge on Steam.

As a single-player game, this CRPG has retained hundreds of thousands of players, reaching another milestone on Steam recently. According to Swen Vincke, Baldur’s Gate 3 has reached 500K reviews on Steam.

Why it matters: Baldur’s Gate 3 was arguably 2023’s most impactful launch. Not only did it win Game of the Year but also shattered everyone’s expectations.

This is a milestone that very few games on the platform can boast. Last year, Cyberpunk 2077 reached a similar figure, marking a major moment for the developers.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has yet to reach 500K positive reviews, but the vast majority of current reviews are favorable. With an overwhelmingly positive rating, over 96% of the reviews have great things to say about this CRPG.

Therefore, around 480K of the 500K reviews are positive. All of this has culminated in reviews that Swen Vincke has enjoyed reading, with the director also thanking fans for this milestone.

Meanwhile, the daily concurrent player counts on Steam have stayed above 100K since the game exploded in popularity last year.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Offers Immense Choice & Freedom

Amid this success, the game continues to receive support from Larian Studios. Recent patches have added new Legendary Actions apart from the usual bug fixes, promising an extensive list of changes.

Therefore, Larian Studios remains committed to supporting its biggest release to date.

Director Swen Vincke has also begun work on his next game. He claims to have an idea of act 1 of this project, though most of the work remains to be done.

Nonetheless, Baldur’s Gate 3 and its success have inspired new confidence in Larian Studios. The studio’s next game will, therefore, attract an even bigger audience with higher expectations.
