With more than 120 game development studios under its belt, the Swedish holding company for video games and media, Embracer Group, is one of the leading companies in acquisitions of game development studios.

With renowned game development studios that have produced several internationally acclaimed games, some good examples would be Tomb Raider and Little Nightmares; both have received a lot of love worldwide; they have been going firm in the gaming industry and have solidified their name in it.

A recent financial report by Embracer Group revealed that they have 234 PC/Console games planned to be released by March of 2026. They also mention that 25 of those games are AAA titles.

Dead Island 2

Around 49 titles have already been announced, including the recently postponed Dead Island 2, Evil West, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, and many others.

The Embracer Group’s game development studios have produced many successful titles, but not everything goes according to plan. For example, most recently, we learned that Studio Onoma, formerly Square Enix Montreal, would shut down on November 24 due to its poor performance.

The success of each of those games cannot be predicted, but looking at the number of games planned to be released by March of 2026, some of them are expected to be world-famous titles.

We are excited and looking forward to what Embracer Group has in the closet. This is the limited information we have for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding Embracer Group in the future.
