Gotham Knights has been the topic of the gaming community for a while now, and people are desperately waiting to hear more about it. According to a new leak, the release date for Gotham Knights might be earlier than you think. The game could be out in less than two months. Furthermore, it appears as a playtest that will begin soon.
“Gotham Knights is a brand-new open-world, third-person action RPG featuring the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death,” reads an official blurb about the game.
Originally Gotham Knights was supposed to premiere last year when it was first revealed in the summer of 2020. Then, in 2022, the release date for Gotham Knights was pushed out to an undetermined date. According to Hogwarts Legacy News on Twitter, the launch date may have been disclosed (via ResetEra).
Gotham Knights is planned to be launched on April 24, 2022, claimed by an Irish retailer, a date that appears to be quite close to being taken for sure. The date is not certain at all as these things tend to change over time, and It’s most likely a placeholder, mainly because the cover in the photo that breaks the news is not the official one but rather a stand-in for the genuine covers.
As of now, we have some new information, and there has been a leak posted on Reddit by a user who claims to have noticed a unique entry for Gotham Knights Playtest.

SteamDB’s database includes a special entry for a mystery “Gotham Knight Playtest” that was released just hours ago, on March 4, 2022. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of specific information about it. However, it may be a package installed into the system while waiting for WB to begin a test of the new game. This could mean that the development team is constantly working and developing the game and hoping to release it in the next few months.
All of this can indicate that we are not far from the launch of Gotham Knights, and we should be expecting to launch in a few months. As discussed earlier, there is no official announcement yet, just a lot of leaks leading to speculation in the gaming community. We should be expecting more information to come in Spring 2022 by WB about Gotham Knights.
