GTA 6’s launch trailer arrived a full month before the game’s release, creating excitement among millions patiently waiting for the game. This launch trailer has cleared 50 million views in just four days, allowing it to overtake GTA 5’s launch trailer.
Why it matters: The excitement for GTA 5 was unlike anything else back in 2013, but GTA 6’s anticipation is on a completely different level.
The GTA 6 launch trailer arrived on October 15, and since then, it has racked up a total of more than 51 million views.
On the other hand, the GTA 5 launch trailer, which arrived closer to the game’s release, still stands at around 34 million views to date. Note that these numbers only look at the views on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel.
Of course, this isn’t too surprising, given how much the series has grown in the years since GTA 5’s release. If anything, this discrepancy should highlight just how much bigger GTA 6 will be at release compared to GTA 5.
GTA 6 is now closer than ever, and as the game’s launch draws closer, many have already made plans for November 19. Some plan on taking time off from work, while others might end up skipping classes from college to ensure they make the most of what could be gaming’s biggest launch to date.
