Intergalactic's Combat Could Be Naughty Dog's Best Work Yet!

Story Highlight
  • A former Naughty Dog animator expects Intergalactic to feature God of War-like combat.
  • Naughty Dog has confirmed that the game will be its most action-packed offering to date.
  • Previously, God of War took inspiration from Naughty Dog’s work for its story elements.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is expected to receive a slew of new details next year, and Naughty Dog has promised a more action-packed take on gameplay with the title.

Voice actor Troy Baker has also created excitement for the title, and according to a former Naughty Dog developer, fans might be in for a God of War-style game from Naughty Dog with Intergalactic.

Why it matters: God of War’s combat system has impressed many fans over the years, so a similar system from Naughty Dog would likely go over well with the fans.

intergalactic will receive new information soon

A former Naughty Dog developer believes Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet could feature combat similar to Sony Santa Monica’s modern God of War games.

Ex-Naughty Dog animator Rico Flores said he believes Intergalactic is taking a God of War-like approach to combat. He also expressed excitement at this possibility, noting that the game will likely do some crazy stuff in terms of combat.

Rico Flares also expects more gameplay elements tied to the physics in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

You could tell when she fights the giant robot and she jumps up in the air with a sword. That’s going to be maybe more like God of War.

God of War
Just like 2018’s God of War, a foray into Egypt will give the franchise another chance to reinvent itself

Another ex-Naughty Dog developer previously noted that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet could be looked back on as a huge deal a few years from now.

Of course, God of War itself took inspiration from Naughty Dog’s work for many of its elements. It seems things will come full circle, with Naughty Dog now taking inspiration from God of War for Intergalactic.
