Next Naruto Game Could Be Revealed Soon!

Story Highlight
  • A new Naruto game appears to have been teased under Project Rasengan.
  • The Naruto series is currently undergoing a major resurgence, with plans highlighting new projects coming for the next three years.
  • A new manga series and anime crossover adaptation are also in the works for the IP.

The Naruto franchise has seen its fair share of games, offering some of the best anime titles to date. However, Naruto Storm Connections ended up being a disappointment in many ways, and the series has yet to receive a proper title since then.

The good news is that the wait for a new Naruto game might be over soon, with Project Resengan teasing a brand new upcoming game.

Why it matters: Past games like Naruto Storm 4 have sold over 15 million copies, highlighting just how much potential the series still has in the gaming medium.

Project Rasengan, revealed at New York Comic Con 2026, teased long-term plans for the series.

This long-term plan spans three years, consisting of various projects related to the Naruto IP across several media. As part of Project Rasengan, a new card game, in addition to a new crossover anime with the Ninku series and a brand new manga from author Masashi Kishimoto, have already been announced.

However, the teaser video also features footage from past Naruto Storm games and does include small hints of what appears to be work on a brand new console/PC title. Of course, nothing is confirmed for now, but it seems a new Naruto game is indeed part of Project Rasengan.

Project Rasengan Is Part of A Wider Push For The IP

Project Rasengan is part of a wider push to bring back the series. Interestingly, Naruto has remained incredibly relevant globally despite lacking much new content for the fans.

On the gaming side, older titles like Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker are still receiving content, and fans continue to appreciate the Naruto Storm IP for its contributions to anime games overall.

What do you hope to see from Project Rasengan and future Naruto titles? Let’s discuss below.
