Following plenty of silence and multiple project cancellations, work on Beyond Good and Evil 2 is somehow still moving forward. In fact, the project has shown signs of life yet again, with an Assassin’s Creed Shadows writer confirming his involvement in the game.

Why it matters: Ubisoft introduced Beyond Good and Evil 2 all the way back in 2008, marking nearly 20 years since the game’s debut with no release in sight.

As stated by Rik Godwin, who worked on Assassin’s Creed Shadows as the Lead Writer and Associate Narrative Director, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is indeed making some progress at Ubisoft.

Godwin has worked as a consultant on Beyond Good and Evil 2, and although he did not have much else to share about the project, critical details regarding the title could actually be closer than ever.

Because of Ubisoft’s secrecy regarding this particular project, Rik Godwin also joked that he was allowed to share this small update regarding the title. When more information will arrive is anybody’s guess for now, but those anticipating the game should rest easy knowing that the team is indeed working on getting things moving forward.

In other news, Ubisoft seems to have something planned for the original Assassin’s Creed, leading to plenty of excitement among the fandom.
