- Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes are heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16.
- The trio expands Capcom’s Resident Evil support on Nintendo’s hardware.
- Capcom will also launch Resident Evil Veronica on the console later next year.
Ever since its success with the original Switch, Nintendo has continued to expand its third-party portfolio.
Capcom is currently among the most prominent supporters of the Nintendo Switch 2, and the gaming giant’s latest announcement shows how it further intends to leverage Nintendo’s latest hardware. The studio is now bringing its three biggest remakes to the console.
Why it matters: Capcom has already released the likes of Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil Requiem on the Nintendo Switch 2, so this announcement further expands the studio’s lineup on the console.
Capcom’s Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes are coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16.
Two of the three remakes are considered some of Capcom’s most impressive game releases ever. Moreover, this collection ensures Nintendo fans can enjoy these classics on the go in handheld mode.
Because all three games initially targeted last-generation hardware, they should also run fairly well on the Nintendo Switch 2, so fans might just be able to enjoy the three titles at 60FPS in handheld mode.

Keep in mind that Capcom is working on a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Veronica. With all these games on the console, Nintendo gamers should have no shortage of Capcom’s biggest horror titles to play.
Capcom is also currently among the most successful game publishers, and its ability to support all platforms is one reason the Japanese team has risen to such heights lately.
Do you intend to play the Resident Evil remakes on the Nintendo Switch 2?
