Lucky PC Gamers Continue To Find Amazing Deals Despite Memory Shortages!

Story Highlight
  • A PC user managed to find an RTX 5060 Ti for just $242.
  • The card is currently selling closer to $500 at many retailers, so this was an insanely great deal.
  • GPU pricing has gotten out of hand, but PC users continue to share absolute steal deals every now and then.

As AI demand and shortages push prices higher and higher, many PC gamers aiming to upgrade or build new PCs have lost hope.

At the same time, there are those who have found absolutely insane deals during this period. One such user has recently bought a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti for just $242.

Why it matters: The PC gaming market is consistently growing, so there are many gamers out there who have yet to build a proper PC for themselves. Such deals could be lifesavers for them.

Redditor u/enigmussnake shared his recent find at Walmart, where he managed to obtain an RTX 5060 Ti for just $242, a price far below what many buyers are currently seeing at retail.

Following recent price hikes, the graphics card can cost close to $500. Note that this is the RTX 5060 8GB, but it’s unlikely that the Redditor is complaining about the lack of VRAM at this price.

Despite its limitations, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is still very capable of playing modern titles, especially at 1080p. Although this particular Redditor isn’t interested in using the graphics card for gaming, that doesn’t make this deal any less special.

The Redditor’s post also gives current PC builders some hope, especially since practically everything seems to be out of reach.

For reference, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB launched at an MSRP of $379, so this deal would be incredible even without the current price hikes. The fact that memory shortages have made everything worse only makes the deal sweeter.
