- Halo: Campaign Evolved is now available, revisiting Master Chief’s origin.
- The remake’s ending also includes a tease pointing toward Halo 2.
- Fans can even expect to see Halo 3 Remake if recent leaks are anything to go by.
Halo: Campaign Evolved brings more than a visual overhaul to Master Chief’s first adventure, and the initial reviews for the game are also solid despite the title being one of the less critically acclaimed entries of the series.
Interestingly enough, the game includes a new tease suggesting that Halo Studios may already be looking toward a Halo 2 remake.
Why it matters: Capcom’s strategy has shown just how well back-to-back remakes within a single series can perform, so Xbox appears to be following suit with Halo.
As shown above, beating the campaign on Legendary difficulty leads to a cutscene showcasing Sergeant Johnson relaxing and reliving old memories. This cutscene then ends with the Sergeant breaking the fourth wall and setting up Halo 2 Remake.
See you in the sequel.

The ending tease is deliberately designed to leave the door open for another remake. Moreover, this teaser is made even more interesting when taking into account the fact that multiple leakers have discussed the possibility of Xbox remaking the entire Halo trilogy.
Of course, given the current popularity of remakes, it doesn’t come as too big a surprise that Microsoft wants to make more Halo remakes.

Perhaps Xbox will release Halo 2 Remake a year or two from now. The gaming giant could even launch the remake as a day-one game for its upcoming Project Helix console.
Would you want a Halo 2 remake to include its full multiplayer suite, or should Halo Studios focus entirely on the campaign?
