- ASUS is releasing its first branded memory kit to mark the 20th anniversary of the ROG.
- The hardware was produced by BIWIN, a company that handles memory manufacturing for several major PC brands.

ASUS continues to release items in celebration of its 20th anniversary, this time showcasing the ASUS ROG DDR5 RGB Edition 20 memory. With this announcement, ASUS ROG officially joins the RAM market with its first ROG-branded DDR5 kit. And, as the name suggests, this is a special edition commemorating the Republic of Gamers’ 20th anniversary.
ROG DDR5 RGB 20th Anniversary Edition was launched in China during ROG DAY 2026. It features a black-and-gold design and was developed in collaboration with ASUS ROG and Biwin. In other words, BIWIN manufactured this memory (they also make memory for Acer and its subsidiary Predator, as well as HP and Lenovo).
The memory system has a configuration of 48GB of capacity in two 24GB modules, operating at DDR5-6000 with CL26-36-36-76 latencies. In other words, it does not seek the highest feasible frequency, but rather an appealing mix for modern platforms that value low latency. It also features native Hynix M-DIE chips and has a lifetime warranty, according to material presented at the launch ceremony.
ASUS ROG has been certifying third-party modules through its ROG Certified program for many years. This program tests chosen DRAM products for compatibility, stability, and performance with ROG platforms. ASUS describes this program as a validation process conducted by ROG engineers to ensure that these modules meet their specifications. But now the leap is different; we’re not just talking about ROG-certified memory from G.SKILL, Corsair, KLEVV, Kingston, Lexar, or TeamGroup, but about a kit that is offered directly as a ROG product.
The choice of DDR5-6000 CL26 also appears to be unavailable. In AMD AM5 systems, this speed has established itself as a fairly balanced option between bandwidth, latency, and ease of setup, particularly compared to kits with much higher frequencies that may require more manual tweaks.
AMD also offers EXPO as a straightforward way to apply enhanced memory profiles from the BIOS to AM5 devices. Regarding the 48 GB capacity, it makes sense. 32 GB is now regarded as the suggested “minimum,” while 64 GB is out of reach for most people due to current memory pricing. As a result, ASUS chose a middle ground that will not limit users in the years to come.
In conclusion, the DDR5-6000 CL26 kit has a potential CAS latency of approximately 8.67 ns, compared to the normal 10 ns of DDR5-6000 CL30. This does not imply that real-world performance will improve by 13% in games or applications, as other factors, such as timing, memory controllers, CPUs, and unique workloads, are also involved.
However, it does show that ASUS is advertising this kit as low-latency. This memory was introduced in China at 5,999 yuan, which equates to 759 euros or 885 dollars, a high price even for 48 GB. It is scheduled for release by the end of June.
